As I walked out of the classroom on Thursday night, I found myself bursting with joy. Seeing the passion and excitement the students have for learning about the vulnerable and underserved patient is inspiring, humbling and exciting. I find myself wondering what I can possibly offer to this great group of students. In the past class has not run the entire length, but I think with this group, we have the potential to run a bit on the longer side. They have set the stage for some meaningful conversations about the topics ahead. I really appreciate the thoughtful and honest way that they were conversing in class.
I reflect back on last year's students and the amazing progress they made within their organization. This group has some big shoes to fill and I know that they will meet those expectations. At times, I feel like a proud parent waiting to see what my "children" will develop into throughout the course. I can already tell that Matt, Shaely, Misty, Tyson, Jen and Nichelle are going to give this everything they've got. I cannot wait to see what impact they will have on their assigned organization.
Is it Thursday yet?
